Meet-a-Mom Monday: Heather Walsh | Ocean County Moms

Meet Heather Walsh

Heather is a local mom from Bayville. Not only is she an amazing mom and pet owner, but also a “mompreneur”. Heather took her skills of being a nurse to the next level. Read all about how she started this amazing business!

Where are you from originally and how long have you lived in town?

I was born in Elizabeth, moved to Pennsylvania as a child and returned to Bayville in 1984. Bayville has been my home since then.

Child(ren) and Age(s)?

Michael, 15 and Tia, 13

One thing people would be surprised to know about you.

My family has accumulated a collection of animals that makes our home seem like a petting zoo! We have 4 alpacas, 2 goats, a dozen chickens, 2 barn cats, 2 bunnies and 3 dogs!

Anyone special you’d like to thank for helping you through parenthood?

While my kids were young, I was blessed that my amazing parents lived around the corner and would drop everything at a moment’s notice to be there for us. It has been a few years since they moved to Florida full time, and we miss that closeness.

Favorite things to do with your kids?

As often as possible, you will find us at the beach! My favorite thing about Ocean County is the beautiful ocean beaches.

Are you involved in a business venture, a local organization, a creative endeavor, or in the corporate world? Please share!

I’ve recently opened my own business in Bayville. I’m a Registered Nurse, but I’ve taken those skills and applied them to a fairly new non-invasive skin tightening treatment called Plasma Fibroblast. In my business I perform skin tightening procedures for face and body, needle free fillers and fat dissolves, and body contouring with fat reduction and muscle building through the use of a HIFEM/EMS/RF machine. It is very fulfilling to be able to help women feel more beautiful and confident.

Feel free to ask anything else!

How has this community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now?

I feel that it is important to have roots. I have history here, I’ve worked in the schools, been PTA President in each school, and have always been very involved with the community. I feel this has enabled me to meet many people and to show my dedication and character.

What is your favorite restaurant in Ocean County?

I love Senza in Bayville!

What is your favorite activity to do with your child(ren) in Ocean County?

We love boating in Barnegat Bay and driving on to IBSP to fish and surf.

What are your Mom Goals?

Being a mom is hard, but the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done. My Mom Goals are simple, to raise healthy, happy, successful kids who aren’t afraid to try new things or reach for their dreams.
